阿里山水龍骨是水龍骨科的蕨類植物。蕨類植物的葉脈常是優美而迷人的，透光看來，更透露出一種神秘的氣息。 Rhizome creeping, dark brown. Fronds 25-65 cm long. Sorus round, borne on the end of the included veinlet in a costal areola. Distributed in China, Himalayas, Indo-China, N. Thailand and Taiwan.
