感性描述: 

高雄卷柏是卷柏科的蕨類植物，主軸上的小葉排列緊密，油亮的葉片、向上延伸的感覺，在黑色背景的襯托下，顯得格外生機盎然。 Main stems erect, 8-30 cm tall, decumbent and rooting at base. Leaves at base of a stem dimorphic, those on the lower plane ovate, pointing outwards; those of the upper plane nearly equal-sided, ovate, ciliate; leaves on the lateral branches similar to these at base of stern. Strobili borned on ends and sides of leafy branchlets; sporophylls uniform, lanceolate, keeled. Growing on exposed hillsides or in partial shades of mountains.
